Our Current Programs

Sickle Cell Anaemia: A Deadly Disease That Can Be Cured

Sickle cell Anaemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects millions of people around the world, especially in Africa. Children under five are especially vulnerable to the disease, which can cause severe pain, organ damage, and even death.

But there is hope.

Matched stem cell transplants can cure sickle cell anaemia. These transplants are not always available in Africa, but with your help, we can change that.

Every £9000 raised saves one life through transplant.
Every £500 raised helps Identify and screen potential donors for matched stem cell transplants.

Provide financial assistance to families whilst they have a child waiting for transplant and may need hospital treatment or medication.
Train healthcare providers in Africa on how to perform stem cell transplants.

Help us give children with sickle cell anaemia a chance to live a normal life.

Empowering Rare Disease Research: Partnering for Progress

Globally, there are approximately 6000 rare diseases, some of which could potentially benefit from cellular therapy as a treatment. Unfortunately, many of these conditions remain untreated due to insufficient funding. Numerous dedicated scientists are eager to investigate the effects of their discoveries in the laboratory and advance them to early-phase clinical trials.

Our organization, GRMS, is committed to assisting these scientists in developing treatments for rare diseases, which include conditions such as dwarfism, Down syndrome, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, cystic fibrosis, cerebral palsy, and many more. We collaborate closely with scientists from established universities and incubators to advance this research.
However, this critical research requires a substantial pool of funds, and GRMS actively seeks sponsors to support both early and late-phase clinical trials for rare conditions and diseases.

Reviving Hope: Stem Cells and Women's Fertility

Imagine the heartbreak of Premature Ovarian Failure (POF), a condition that affects roughly 1% of women under 40, robbing them of the ability to conceive. POF brings with it a cascade of daunting symptoms: hormonal imbalances, immature egg development, and irregular menstrual cycles, leaving those affected feeling both distressed and helpless. POF’s causes are multifaceted, ranging from genetics to immune system anomalies and environmental factors. The troubling reality is that conventional treatments offer limited success, necessitating innovative solutions.

Enter a ray of hope: human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUC-MSCs). These remarkable cells possess a unique set of attributes—low likelihood of triggering immune reactions, remarkable adaptability, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility with both donors and recipients. Research suggests that hUC-MSCs have the potential to rejuvenate compromised ovaries, potentially restoring hormone balance, reawakening dormant egg follicles, and improving overall ovarian function. However, for this promising treatment to become a reality for women grappling with POF, extensive research and increased funding for clinical trials are imperative. This represents a beacon of hope for women confronting the formidable challenges of POF, offering the possibility to triumph over the emotional and physical toll it takes on their dreams of starting a family.

Reviving Hope: Stem Cells and Men's Fertility

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) indeed exhibit a range of valuable properties that make them a promising candidate for various therapeutic applications . Their ability to self-renew, differentiate into specialized cell types, and modulate the immune response and inflammation provides a foundation for potential treatments across a wide spectrum of medical conditions, including male infertility.

While research into the use of MSCs for male infertility shows promise, as highlighted by their potential to contribute to tissue regeneration and hormonal regulation in reproductive systems, the advancement of such therapies often depends on funding support. Adequate funding is crucial to conduct further studies, and clinical trials, and refine treatment protocols to ensure both safety and efficacy. Investing in this research could lead to novel treatments for male infertility and provide hope for couples facing reproductive challenges.

Advancements in Stem Cell Therapy for Diabetes: A Promising Path Forward

In our dedicated collaboration with esteemed partners, we are diligently pursuing the quest for a definitive, long-lasting solution to diabetes in all its manifestations. Our collective research efforts have yielded highly promising results, shedding light on innovative approaches that could transform the lives of millions affected by this chronic condition. To bring these breakthroughs from the laboratory to the real world, we now stand at a critical juncture where the next crucial step is securing adequate funding and sponsorship to initiate vital clinical trials. With your support, we can bridge the gap between scientific discovery and tangible treatment options, bringing us one step closer to making diabetes a manageable and ultimately curable health challenge for individuals around the globe.

The urgency of advancing our research into clinical trials cannot be overstated. Diabetes affects millions of people worldwide, and its physical, emotional, and financial burdens are immense. By securing the necessary funding and sponsorship, we can expedite the translation of our promising findings into practical therapies that can change lives. Your partnership in this research is not just an investment in medical progress; it’s a commitment to improving the quality of life for those living with diabetes and the hope of a future where this condition no longer dictates the course of countless lives. Together, we can turn the page on diabetes and offer a brighter, healthier tomorrow for all.

Advancing Cardiovascular Health: Pioneering Stem Cell Research and the Quest for Effortless Treatment

Cardiovascular disease is yet another promising frontier where stem cell medicine research has made significant strides. Through our collaborative efforts with clinical partners, we are advancing crucial research that holds the potential to revolutionize the treatment of cardiovascular disease. We are on the cusp of initiating clinical trials that could ultimately make the management of this condition effortless. However, to ensure the continuation of this groundbreaking research utilizing cellular therapy, we are actively seeking sponsors who share our commitment to improving lives. With your support, we can propel this work to its next breakthrough, bringing hope to thousands who stand to benefit from these transformative advancements in cardiovascular care. Your contribution can make a meaningful difference in the fight against this prevalent and debilitating disease.
